Difference between Panthers and Veileds

So I am thinking of picking up either a Veiled or Panther chameleon. I have had veileds before and loved keeping them. The first one I got I had for about three years.
The second one I recieved with a condition and he died within a week of getting him. I have a brand new cage set up, with nothing in it....
So although I am sure it has been answered many times, what is the major keeping difference between panthers and veileds?
I understand panthers get a lil bit bigger, and do not need as much humidity?!?!
Is there anything else. I really like the locals available for panthers and I am leaning this way, but I like the prices for veiled! lol

Adult male Veileds tend to be bigger than Adult male Panthers, although there are always exeptions. They also require less humidity and heat. Veileds are probably one of the easiest if not the easiest chameleon to take care of, I'm not condoning lazy ownership or anything, but in the cham world some species are quite difficult to properly keep. Both species can look quite gorgeous although Panthers are known for their beautiful coloration's for different locales. Yes, young Veiled are cheaper for the animal, but if you worried about price, you might re-think your whole situation,you can usually get young Veileds for around $40 + shipping, and Panthers's seem to start around $100, although I see you have a cage set up already. Ya, you got it backwards. Veileds are bigger and need less humidity. But other than that they are both fairly easy to keep. Easy from a chameleon standpoint. It all boils down to personal preference. I love both. The only difference that i've found is when a veiled holds on, he holds on for dear life and sometimes it can be a little painful. Where as a panther tends to hold on much more gently. But considering you shouldn't be holding them much it doesn't make too much difference. Good luck on your decision.

I would love a Panther, just want to keep it alive for the price...
$40 seems to permit more of a learners curve!

I would be using a 50w Exo terra sun glow bulb in a 18x18x36.
My room temp stays about 68-70 degrees, in the cage at the top it is about 85-87-90 depending on the day and if the door is open to the room...

$100 smackaroos for a panther? where? thats really cheap. the cheapest ive seen them for has been around $150.

I went to underground reptiles for my two panthers in the last week.. Ryan called a private breeder and had them in the next day!!! I dont know if you saw them in my pictures but there is one more left there from the same clutch and truly they are amazing colors!!
