digging hole for eggs

Stay calm it’s a lot of work to get those eggs out. Remember they can lay up to 80 eggs, let’s hope that’s not the case. My female took 24 to finish laying all her 65 eggs in September
im assuming this means she is done?

I can't see the picture of her clearly...does she look thin?
Did she fill the hole in? If so she's likely done.

If you can take the container out without disrupting things you can dig them out now. Are they going to be fertile? If not there's no reason to rush...you can do it in a day or so.

her laying bin is a permanent floor to her cage, so i will have to move the cage to remove the bin and empty it. and no they are not fertile.

Since they are not fertile you can dig them up later...IMHO it's important to know how many she laid so you know if you need to make adjustments to her husbandry to lower the number of eggs she lays....and to throw them away so they don't rot in the cage.

I tried the reduced feeders, low basking temps, and feed every 3 days and she still laid a huge clutch. Maybe I’m doing something wrong

I do the same, and have had Mona 1 1/2 years and only had one clutch of 27 eggs-- for comparison.
I guess it doesn’t help that mine has reproductive problems and is suck in ovulation. I think she’s getting ready to give me a third clutch she laid in August 65 o_O i love my girl but man she’s killing me with all this egg laying

OUCH. Poor girl. Mona has just laid the one clutch back in January.

@JordanOlsen2496 said..."she laid 46 eggs!" That's more than I'd like to see if she were mine.

@JoXie411 ...you said..."I tried the reduced feeders, low basking temps, and feed every 3 days and she still laid a huge clutch. Maybe I’m doing something wrong"...how many insects do you feed her every three days? How soon after the last clutch was laid did you cut her back and lower the basking temperature a couple of degrees? Did she only lay one clutch since you started cutting her back?

I feed her 3 or 2 medium feeders every 3 days. I cut back feedings a week after she lays and she’s laid 2 times while in my care, first in may and the second in august, and is getting ready for her third lay I guessing I’ll have eggs November time frame. I keep basking at 80
