You know how life has a way of sneaking up behind you when you least expect it and..then taking its time..creeps up slowly..takes aim..and delivers a hard kick right in your delicate regions?
Well....i just got a hard direct hit...
My purchase of my 2 Adult Mellers fell through!!The seller just decided that he wasnt going to sell...and pulled out!! This as you know is about halfway through me building their new unit.........
But!! despite the shock...im actually still positive!...and here is why....as soon as i was told this devastating news...i opened a can of beer...and took stock of the situation........its in fact thanks to this very website and from the inspiration that i have gained from people like SUMMONER 12 in regards taking on the problems inherited with wild caught Mellers that i continue to be positive..here is the fact...those 2 chams were going to cost me the equivalent of $1000......an amount i was willing to pay for captive hatched unrelated adults..but now....i can get a pair of w/c at less than $300 and have the confidence to take on the challenge..something i would not have done before..i have a half built unit...in the meantime..however..ever the eternal optimist ..i have decided to cease continuation of the project for now..and instead i will reinvest funds in building a collection of unrelated Panther morphs.whilst continuing to now locate suitable Adult Mellers or despite the limited availability i will look to get a juvenile pair of captive young..either way im afraid the BIG BUILD is on hold for the moment..but i will of course keep you updated in appropriate sections of the forums of my recent aquisitions..in the meantime..thanks to all you actual Mellers owners for putting up with my ramblings..I WLL RETURN!! pps..2 of my British Chameleon breeder friends are investing in a pair of Parsoni....that big unit may yet see some alternative action..pps my son wants ne to make it into his new bunk bed!! TEENAGERS HAVE NO FEELINGS!
