hameleon Info:
  • Your Chameleon around 1 year old male panther
  • Handling - I do not handle often, maybe once a week for 5 minutes.
  • Feeding - I feed my cham mainly Dubia roaches with the occasional super worms. Dubia roaches gut loaded with kale and oranges and pears, carrots, etc.
  • Watering - I have a mistking that sprays for either 30 seconds or a minute maybe 6 times a day.
  • Fecal Description - poop seems fine

I’ve noticed this discoloration lately on the skin on the joints of my Cham. They do not seem sensitive to the touch as when I poke them with my finger he seems fine. It’s just on one side of his body as shown in the pictures. He seems totally fine I just noticed this and it caused some concern. Any information is helpful!

Could be burns as elbows, head and top of the back are most common to get these.
But can't say for sure, you should measure the temperature (with an IR thermometer) at the baskingspot to see if there isn't a hotspot.
You will need to use something to compensate the space the chameleon would take up and measure after like 15minutes so it has time to heat up, then you know the actual basking temperature.
