disposing of unwanted livefood

So I thought I'd treat my gecko and my panther chameleon and get different some live food.
I was advised that curly winged flies could only jump, not fly and that both the aforementioned would like them.
Anyway, my cham isn't bothered but wont eat them and my gecko is positively freaked out by them! (As am i, although I'm not bothered by locusts and crickets!)
What's the best way for me to dispose of these? Are they native to the UK?

I usually put unwanted feeders in a zip lock bag and freeze them. I know it sounds mean but it's better than introducing them in to the environment. And actually my USDA permit for snails mandates that I freeze any unwanted snails and also the dirt they are in prior to disposing of it.

Definitely freeze them. Even if they were native, it may still be illegal to release feeder insects.

Ooops. The wild birds at my house love me. They wait by the feeder. I either cool by fridge, rip a wing, or leg and they take out the trash. Best part, no paychecks.

Carnivorous plants really appreciate healthy unwanted feeders.. just saying.. Lol
