i have a fogger for my cham and it says to only use distilled water but im sick of having to buy water 2 times a week if i buy like a brita water filter will it do the same thing?

not really, they are lower end filters. If you had a ro/di filter that would be more what is recommended. You can use it but it will still lave the scale residue on the parts inside.

Those are manufacture recommendations because of mineral deposits. The fogger will work on different water but you will probably shorten the life of your fogger. As mineral deposits build up from the water it will work less effectively over time.

So do you want to pay for water or buy a new fogger soon then you would have?

or you can continue and occasionally run white vinegar thru it then rinse it well.

whats a ro/di? any one have and products they can recommend?

I use vinegar to clean coffee pots and run it thru my keurig k cup coffee machine. It helps break down the scale buildup so it should help with that also I would think. You may want to google vinegar to clean humidifier.

I tell you since I got my RO system it has saved a ton of $$ and headache. I do not know how I functioned without it. Thanks to Wykd he recommended this one I got and I absolutely love it. You can hook it up indoors or outdoors. And it automatically shuts off when you have the desired amount of water. I never again have to worry about getting distilled water for my MistKing. It will for sure save you money in the long run and also will save your equipment that needs it.
