DIY Pothos Hanger

Thought id share a cheap easy way to hang your pothos without damaging your screen.. Well, too much atleast. I went to the hardware store and got a 1-1/4x48 wooden dowel, cut it down to 24 inches and screwed a small hook into it.

So the hook goes down thru the screen without making a hole and the dowel supports the weight?
I've considered using heavy weight fishing line thru the screen and over something like your dowel.

Nah, the dowel is being supported by the sides of the cage, and the screw part of the hook is going thru the screen into the dowel.

Heavy weight fishing line would work too, i just like the hook cause then everytime i want to take out my pothos, i dont have to untie it.

That's awesome! I'd been wanting to get my pothos pot off the ground so I don't have to lift it every time I clean my cage. It's a small cage so the pot takes up much ground space.

Naturally, I was afraid if tearing the screen apart. Now if I can just get my little statue up without it looking like it hung itself...

I did the exact same but with 50lb fishing line, works great and no holes in the screen!
