okay well, not quite. But its pretty much the MistKing of DIY's. So this is what i did: The whole contraption cost 60 bucks after tax and everything. all of which i purchased at lowes. the parts are 2 quarter circle fan spray, an adjustable dripper, 3 mister risers, a 2 foot 1/2 inch poly tube and a stake assembly(all are made by a company called Mister Landscaper) 2 1/2 inch PVC caps and a Tetra 330 GPH statuary pump. I glued the PVC caps onto the end of the poly tube. Drilled 3 holes into the tube so the mister risers to go in, attached the dripper and the 2 quarter circle fan sprays to the risers and then drilled a fourth hole into the back of the poly tube for the stake assembly to go into (the stake assembly comes with a stake, i just threw that out, all i needed was the hose to attach the pump to the tube.) i put a fixture the pump came with that fit the hosing from the stake assembly and attached one end of the hose to the pump and the other into the tubing with the piece that came on the end of the hose. And thats it! each mister has an individual valve to turn it on and off and there is a master valve on the pump tubing. i shut off the two pumps while im out and it has a steady drip from the middle dripper. the whole set up is on a timer so it sprays 3 times a day for 30 seconds. i'm extremely satisfied with how it came out. heres a picture of it so you can see what it looks like, ill get a video of it in action within the next couple days.

Sorry to say but that pump will probably not be strong enough you need a 300gph or higher when you make your own system i tried the 120 and it was not strong enough. since you have more than 1 head you may need an even stronger pump than i have.Even if it dose work it wont pump higher than 2.5 feet.

ive got the bucket level with the cage and all three nozzles work fine, the middle is just a little dribble, but that what is is designed to do. sorry but ive tested it and its successful.

that's great sorry for that i was just saying because mine has to pump up 4 feet.if you want warm water add a aquarium heater you chameleon will love the hot water.

its all good :p and hmm, that actually sounds like a good idea, then all i need is to play rain forest noises from my speakers and he'll be in heaven :D

its soothing, especially with all my reps around, and the noises coming from all the odds and ends going on in there tanks

well, my apologies, the system crapped out after an hour and now its just a dribble, so i went and bought the 330 gph one and it works so much better.

Not homemade Mistking- Homemade Dribbleking :). Sorry, just kiddin' man. I made the same exact thing for my chameleons last year when I first got back into this. It worked fine as far as getting the chameleons watered, but as far as creating a mist like an Aquazamp or a Mistking, those pond pumps just don't create enough PSI. Plus, unless you have a very good timer that is programmable in increments of seconds, 330 gallons per hour is a massive amount of water to have to deal with containing. If you spent $70, you could have just added $30-40 more to that and got a Mistking or Aquazamp. I bought a Mistking from a forum member that had not even been taken out of the box, and it runs 9 cages with no problems at all. It was the best investment I've put into my set up. I used to be a die-hard do-it-yourselfer, but with the misting systems, it's more cost effective to just buy a system. But as I said, your chameleons will at least get watered with the DYI.

Apparently this was a gravedigger, but if this works then that's a great post to have on the site. A good misting system can be pricey and if you're only getting one pet chameleon this could make it more affordable to take care of.
