Do baby Jacksons sleep during the day?

Posted this in the breeding forum, but no response. Just wondering if anyone knows if it's okay for babies to sleep during the day? A few of ours has been doing that today, and I'm worried cuz the rest aren't. I don't think they should be. They've been misted several times, and have received sufficient sun exposure for the day. They look healthy, just that they close their eyes and don't move around much. They're all of 5 days old, and I don't want to lose any of them  help?

We were keeping them out in the back patio, where they got a healthy amount of sun and mist. Then ants started invading the cage and jacking all the pinheads, so we started bringing the cage inside for feedings. I really don't understand what's going on, I mean could they have caught some kind of illness?? They look well fed and hydrated, so I'm just going to keep that up and hope for the best.

What are the temps where they are kept outside? Jackson babies need to be kept cooler and more humid - temps no hotter than 80. They don't normally sleep in the day. If you are able to keep them outside all the time then I would think you live somewhere that gets hot enough to likely be to hot for them. We are currently having a heatwave in the UK and it has been over 80 in the shade, but that is cooler than it is indoors so I have been misting mine lots and draping damp towels over the cage. Mine is almost 11 months old now though.

I'm in Hawaii, so it does get over 80, but not in the shade. We keep them in the back patio, where it's nice and cool. I do like the idea of draping damp towels over the cage tho, I think I'm gna try that. I only saw one of them w/their eyes closed today, but I didn't get to spend too much time w/em. They're all still alive and kicking tho.

What kind of water are you using to mist them? R.O.? captured rain water? Tap? I found that mine responded poorly to anything other than R.O. My guess was there was something in the water that irritated their eyes. Good luck with them, they are get Chams.

I use faucet water...same thing I've been using on my other 4 chams for the past year! I'm thinking they may just be having trouble gettin good sleep...idk.
