Do Chams have taste Buds??

Did a quick search didn't find anything. Do Chameleons have taste buds? Wondering because there is a different level of interest in crickets depending on supplier and gut-loading. Wonder if they taste different to her.

If this is true then I feel sorry for my little fella. He shot at one of his own turds the other day that was sat on a leaf below. He didnt eat it but his tongue certainly touched it.

My theory is it's an instinct to hide the fact that they are there. Nothing says "hey, look for the reptile" like a shed skin.

This is funny because I switched my calcium sup to sticky tongues a while back and all of a sudden my cham was going on different feeder strikes for the first time and started going on a general hunger strike. I finally figured out he hates that berry flavor and as soon as I switched back to an unflavored and he was hungry enough to try something again he has gone back to his much less picky self.

I'm pretty sure they do, on a vid they seem to like berry flavored calcium dusting rather than the nasty tasting multivitamins, also, some chameleons will like certain foods as opposed to others.
