Do crickets and roaches need to cool down at night?

I had different experiences. I recently did both, had my roaches in an outside shed that was very warm and humid all summer, with cooler night drops at times. I definitely noticed they seemed very healthy and happy like this. Was part of the reason I reached out a while back to some invert enthusiasts to see what they thought. However, in the last month and a half, I moved them all to a heated room at 85-90. They have that constant temperature, but with a day/night dim light schedule. They have been breeding, eating, and growing farrrr faster than they did in the shed. I'm feeding almost double to triple as I had to when they got the night drops even though their day time temp was just as high or higher. My more sensitive species are thriving too.

My bet is that it increases their growth, reproduction, etc to have constant heat, but probably shaves off some of their max lifespan. That makes the most sense to me.
