Do i really need a heat lamp

Someone told me to get rid of the heat lamp im using and just use a regular house bulb because chams are more used to the light that a regular house bulb gives off. Is this true because my cham seems to like his heat bulb pretty good. Thanks

Incandescent (house bulbs) are just as fine to use as any big name special reptile bulb. If you want to save money, you can just use a house bulb.

If it's to hot inside your house then yes you might need to use a regular house bulb.

The special reptile bulbs are no better or worse for them, just more expensive
This is for heat bulbs, not uv bulbs of course.
