My male has been a solid bright red color for three weeks now and he's eating very little. Is this a sexual season?

Heading is supposed to say like iguanas do

No, It is not a sexual thing. Sometimes chameleons go through a color morph for whatever reason. As far as not eating as much, he could be bored with his food as they are known to go on hunger strikes. It is kind of strange though that his appetite has diminished since his color change. Is there anything in the room that has changed? Can he see something now that he could not view before? Did you bring another chameleon or another animal into the room that he can see?? Whatever the case, he sure is beautiful!

Nothing has changed. The only thing different is my Jackson's chameleon had 19 babies but there's no way he knows that because she is downstairs.
He has in the past when off of feed for a couple days. I usually switch things up. But he never ever turns down wax worms.
All he cares about is trying to get out of his cage. I have taken them out into the sun And also let him out of the cage to see if that would help. He's just constantly concerned with getting out of this cage. I just cleaned it again to make sure that wasn't the problem I don't know

Its just that they can totally change colors and stay that way. From their bars changing to their complete body color. I do not know why or if anyone does.
