Does “double knee” always mean MBD?

One of my male Ambilobe seems to have a bit of “double knee” on his back legs. Does this necessarily mean MBD? He is very healthy, eats very well, is well supplemented like my other chameleons (which show no signs of “double knee”). He also has a UVB light and receives some natural sunlight.

I also read that flouride in the water can give mbd-like symptoms. But I too would like to know what the other people are seeing that looks problematic. Maybe circle it in mspaint?

I don't see any issues other than the chameleon being a little thin.

Please post more pictures with different angles.

Here is another picture

Note the “flat” knee. Most Chameleons seem to have rather pointed knees.

That's the same picture just blown up. Do you have other angles?

I was actually looking at the puffiness directly under his back knee
I saw that too, but I honestly don't think it's MBD.

Randy32, can you please fill out the how to ask for help form? Instead of just guessing at pictures we could look at your supplementing schedules and husbandry to determine whether or not gout or MBD is the problem, if any.

IF your chameleon has a double-knee, no it does not necessarily mean MBD. It may be a deformity from a break (its leg smashed in a closing door, for example), it may be a big fat parasite hanging out there, it may be gout,.....
If you are unsure, see a vet.
