Yes, chameleons should never sleep during the day. If they are then you should take them to a vet ASAP.
When chameleons sleep during the day that means that they are very sick and are just now trying to show it, chameleons and reptiles in general don’t show their sicknesses very well, so when they sleep during the day it is very bad.
