Does she need guitar lessons or food?

hey my 6 mo female veiled did some weird things this morning about 10am. she went to the front of the cage on the screen and began to pluck the screen like a guitar, over and over.

im thinkin because i normally feed them by 8am in the mornings, and i had a party last night, i wasnt able to feed her till i woke up.

so she helped wake me up. the first time i got up and shoo'd her back to her tree and 30 min later she went the same spot and began plucking the screen again, very annoying and wierd.

so does she need guitar lessons or do you think she was trying to tell me to wake up and feed her?

i said 6mo

Sorry, I didn't see that.
She's becoming sexually mature.
I'm sure she will continue scratch/pluck the screen until she starts cycling an infertil clutch.
It's really annoying, trust me.
If I were you, then slow down the feedings.
Unless you plan on breeding her or want her to produce a massive infertile clutch.

i guess i will slow down her feeding, right now i give about8 full size crickets and 1 superworm a day, she looks a lil fat. i should still feed her everyday though right and not every other?

i have been keeping her temps low just for this reason, her basking spot stays right under 90, ideally i dont want her to have any clutches till breeding in another 4-6mo.

I would say mid 80's is a better temperature.
As far as feeding goes, 8 large crickets every other day.
All of my veileds have a peak body basking temp around 85 degrees.

ok cool, i will switch her to every other day; she's a pig and wont be happy but she'll get over it. and ill lower the basking temps a little more. thanks.

Hehe, Josh thanks for comment before on my thread. Lets take the diet down a bit on our girls :) Let them get down a few grams :)
