Does your cham enjoy looking out the window?

Lately, Thomas has been employing multiple techniques to get to a plant in the window. He has been on the sides of his flexarium for the past few weeks, coming up the the front whenever we are near. Another fun thing is that he steps right on the sides of his feeding bowl and onto our hands. He then takes a seat on whichever side of our bodies is nearest to a window until we get him there. Also, and he figured this out pretty quickly, he found a way to get to a side table onto the window-sill so he can, again, sit on the plant, whenever we're lounging on the couch with him.


It seems that he very much enjoys looking outside, watching cars and people go by.

Does your chameleon do this? Do you enjoy it when he does?

I've read in multiple places that chameleons can get very nervous when put next to a window. What is going on with crazy Thomas?!

With all the moving around to get him from cage to window, I kind of feel like a cab driver

My cham will try to push against the screen with her nose to get closer to the window. She loves it.

Yea mine LOVES the window!! Ill move her to different windows so she can stay in the sun!!

Lol i thought i was the only one with a window obsessed cham!
He has a free range set up in the front room but always makes his way down and his way to the window, this is a pic of him climbing the wash basket to get to the window!

my little girl tends to go that way too when i get her out and let her free range.. i sat down on the furthest end of the couch from my sliding door and she crawled up my arm, down my other arm and ran as quickly as she could to get to the side that had the door and then just sat on the arm of the couch... scared the crap out of me thinking she was going to jump hahahah but she just sat there

Mine like to look out of the window too, I think it means they are comfortable where they are, if they are happy to spy on long distance things

Mine loves to look out all the windows of the house also - front and back. I pretty much put a vine in every window for his viewing pleasure. He especially loves when I open the door so he can go out for a walk!

Everyone of my guys even the parsonii love looking out the window. I try to set up everyone's free range in front of a window or at least rotate the chams so they can all have some window time. The one thing they like better than looking out the window is being outside.

My chameleon is right next to the window also and he trys to grab the glass to get out. He looks looking outside but i think he wants me to take him out more.
