Me Female used to be okay being held when we first got her and she was in a tiny tiny bird cage. When we uped her cage size she wouldn't let us get near her. Still to the day she hisses and sways in your direction in her threatening striking pose. We need to get a stick and try and get her to grab hold of that and then when she's on the stick and away from the cage she is 75% more handable.
MY Male, hisses, tries to bite you and runs. My BF always has to get him out. Normally, by putting one hand in front of the Male, so he has something to grab onto and then one hand behing the Male. Somehow he manages to get him out and like the female he is 75% more handable away from his cage.
