Doesn’t know worms are food?

Hello all. I got a male veiled chameleon a few weeks ago that I’ve been trying to feed a few different types of worms to, but he doesn’t even seem to acknowledge their presence. Well, besides one time when one got to close and he looked distastful at it then proceeded to shake it off his foot.
He eats fine, was just wanting to give him a hornworm or superworm every once in a while for a treat. Is there any tricks or tips for getting them to eat worms, or do some chameleons just turn their nose up at them?
Oh, and he doesn’t take them from my hand either despite taking the one or two crickets by hand I give him daily to get him use to me. I’ve also tried to feed it to them before his regular meal, but no luck.

Same with my guy. He only ate one when I put it right in front of his face on a leaf, but otherwise he just doens't bother with them.I've even put a super worm on the screen so it would climb it an he doesn't bother with it. just looks at it than looks away.

Hmm. Yeah, my guy looks at them them for a minute or two then proceeds with his day. Maybe some chameleons just don’t want to bother with them.

It's sad becasue I want to give him other foods becasue crickets are boring after a while(I would think). I want to try roaches but I think they are to big right now for him. He's just a little guy and the roaches I've seen are as big as his head. There are so many different types of worms though.

Exactly my thoughts as well! I might give up the quest to get him to eat one until he’s older. Maybe after some time he’ll get a little bored of the crickets he so loves. ^^

@Boston Pitty My chameleons are probably smaller that yours and I feed dubia but I feed the nymphs not the adults. They aren't much longer than a 1/4 inch and less wide. The problem will be what to do with them if your cham doesn't like them.

My guys just a baby at 5 months old, he's not very big. The chameleon in your avatar is a lot bigger than him from what I can tell. Ill see if I can snag one or two roaches from work. If he doesnt eat them than i guess ill take them back or see if any other people have reptiles they want to feed them to

I just bought 12 hornworms and I fed 2 to my veiled in the past 4 days, and then she decided she doesn't like them, so now they are growing out of control but I don't want to waste them! She is such a diva! I figured she would want more than just dubia roaches, but she loves them, and she hasn't cared for hornworms or BSFL. Well, as long as she's eating, I'm okay with that!
