dosent she look huge???

she could be prego but from what i have seen female flaps are rather large in the body anyway, thin arms and large body. Keeping a laying bucket is a excelent idea expecially since they were togeather for a while, but i would vote ungravid, when gravid my female looked just like a female veild all eggy even though she laid a small clutch.

she was as big b4 i 2 days ago she just started to look like a ball..what can this be and also this might be off topic but how much humidity should a cham have in their cage?

all chameleons have different humidity requirements depending on where they are from... so you might want to research that for dilepsis... also you might want to ditch the night glo bulb, the chameleon will probably sleep better in pitch black darkness, I think those bulbs are designed for nocturnal reptiles so you can still watch them being active at night.

At this point I might recommend a trip to the vet... it could be nothing, but if she's constipated or pregnant (er... I guess that's not the proper term for it, but whatever) you'll want to make sure it's taken care of. Some females, unless conditions are perfect... will hold the eggs in until they die (become "eggbound") so I would go to the vet...

there is no way of knowing other wise>?

I wouldn't wait :(

"Wait and see" is the only way of knowing other than going to a vet, and there's a 50% or higher chance that it won't turn out well... a trip to the vet is an inconvenient pain in the butt, but it's worth it if it's possibly going to save your girl's life.

here is a few more pix of her today....

i was just looking at her and it kinda looks like she has eggs it seems like egg outlines but not full detail how long does it usually take for a female to lay eggs if he is indeed carrying a clutch

Once again, she's carrying.
Just leave her alone, I don't have my reference books at hand
but her species may carry for a few months before she actually lays the eggs.
If anyone has a good reference for this on hand - please post.
Otherwise, I would let her be until you get a good idea for her gestation time.

Taking her to the vet and handling her will only cause stress.
her color seems good, so don't worry, until you have something to worry about.
lets find out about that gestation timeframe and then after doing some simple math
decide if she's not even ready lay, ready, past due or totally egg bound.
because this isn't a case of her being puffed up with air.

well when i pik her up her strips turn white and she turns a nice green color when i put her bac in the cage she kinda gets a lil more darker but not too dark..also im not sure if she is carrying because i came home today and i found a huge poop and when i looked at it i saw whole crickets not chewed up its like she swallowed the crickets and pooped them out....any suggestions?

Im not familiar with this species and there egg laying. I assume she will stop eating and act restless (moving all around the cage) kinda like looking for a bathroom when you got to go . She might even hang around the bottom of the cage looking to dig. From your pics I cant see a outline of a egg itself but you might . My female panther hissed and bit me when I moved her into the bucket that was a first for her.

she dosent eat but she sits under the uvb lamp at the top of the cage i have 2 uvb bulbs there and she just sits there all day

i was told she is either not digesting her food cuz of low heat or she has parasites which is why she is so nog

i got her aug 30th 2007 so not even a month yett and i dont know how old she is i got her from llreptiles.com

apple, IF she was so loaded with parasites to be bloated up like that
you would be in some serious trouble
try a fecal check ( that should be cheap) and it won't stress the animal.
I don't know if LL de-worms all their incoming animals 100%
but I wouldn't bet my life on it.

pay for the check -just to rule it out.

and even if it does come back positive she may still be holding/gestating.
but you're knocking one of the options out with a negative result.

Breeding cycles are set according to temps, daylight and perhaps the amount of UV
IF she was captive bred and raised, then there's not going to be any breeding cycle according
to the actual season outside of her environment.

Cycles are important even CB animals of some species require simulated cycling changes, I suspect delipis are one of these biased on my experience with them so far. not all chams will just produce eggs any time.

she got smaller..i found her poop wtih full crickets its like she swallowed and pooped them out but she got smaller and she is eating
