Double fluorescent light fixture

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could tell me if there is such a thing as a double fluorescent light fixture. I bought a hibiscus for my chams cage and need to find a fixture for the 5000k light bulb I bought. I could run 2 single 18 inch fixtures (one for my reptisun and plant light) but for looks and convenience I would like a double...

Does anyone know if they make such a thing, if so where would I find it... my help at home depot was very sad and I believe there was some mis-communication.

Both light bulbs are 18 inches and T8...

Thanks

I have several fixtures that holds two tubes. I got one at canadian tire, another at home depot, and another at a local hyrdoponics shop. One of them lets you use either T12 or T8 bulbs, which is handy for using up old stock now on sale!

thank you very much! I'm glad to see there is one out there in case I can find what I'm looking for...

i was kinda looking for a cheaper model though... I nor Shiva need something that fancy... just one that houses both lights on one plug.

thanks for you research though!

if anyone else can find one online, please put the link in the reponse... i cant seem to find them anywhere in my area... I have been to Home Depot, Lowes, and Walmart

nice thank you! its 45 shipping included... was hoping to spend around 30 but so far this is the best bet... thanks alot!

If you have 2 cages that are the same heigth you can use a 4 foot dual fixture and do 2 cages with one fixture. If you do a 4 foot fixture, you can get a 6500k plant flourescent bulb. I have found the 6500k bulb, and the fixture at Lowes.

FWIW, I highly recommend DIYcages.com products. They're are top quality and reasonably priced, plus the owner is a good guy.

Was looking at the fixtures in Home Depot the other day and they had several 4', double flouro T8 fixtures ranging from like $15 to $50. The cheap one was wasn't too bad, it didn't have much of a reflector in it though. The $50 had an awesome diamond plate metal reflector. Also, a few mid grade models in between those two...

I use 48' 0.5 UV fluorescent and 6500k fluorescent bulb for my chameleons, I just want to know it won't do damage to their eyes?
