Dragon strand Clear Sided Atrium

Just curious if any of you...

1. have the atrium cage? Large or medium and what you LOVE about it.....I'm then between the two, my gut says, Go big or Go home! Thoughts?

3. What benefit is the drainage tray system? You can choose it with the medium but for the large it is $130 more plus the extra $50 shipping.

2. have the clear sided of any size? What are your thoughts on the clear sides? How do they hold up? How do you keep them from water spots? Do they scratch? I like the idea since we will most likely be moving back to AZ next year and it would help tremendously with humidity.

I've searched the forums and found lots of praise of course for Bill. I've emailed him and asked his opinion on the Large vs Medium and he gave great insight for both. I am leaning towards the Large.

Hello I have had the large clear atrium and honestly I love it same deal i considered the med but its 220 whereas the large clear is 395 so i went with it, its doesnt scratch at all will actually stretch a little and go right back to where it was at first i was worried about it not holding up but it has held up and honestly its probably more sturdy than a cheaper mesh cage over the long run. My repti breeze is falling apart basically after 6 months (coming apart at the plastic frame) where as the frame of the dragonstrand clearside is metal. It feels like a new volleyball type of texture (on the flat part) but is very clear and smooth and cant be climbed by a cham; it does get water spots occaisionally but in the directions it tells you how to clean it just soft cotton shirt and dawn soap works fine. People will say they dont have good airflow but in reality no part of it is more then 20 some inches from the open mesh on top or side also you can easily leave 1 or two doors open and the cage is still virtually inescapable by even the most curious of critters! I know cause if i leave the bottom open my guy bolts for the opening if i turn my back but never tries the front cause of the slick clearside. Im like you I want the drainage tray but just couldnt afford it or justify needing it because i line the floor with a couple of potted plants where it drips most and change out and clean the bottom regularly. Also I dont go overboard on my misting times whatever keeps his poop white I have a Climist which works amazing so far and produces an extremely fine mist which u can barely feel with your hand. If I had other species besides a veiled I may have to up my misting and then may have need for the tray but now im getting along fine without it even with a professional misting system.

Still adding and arranging but my guy loves all the room and has been extremely active and is starting to get noticably happier much less afraid of me I think because he knows he has so many good places to hide, and also his arms and legs are starting to get huge he looks so healthy and happy I would highly recommend it.
