Drainage?

I use the water tray from LLL Reptiles (sponsor plug), and my plant has rocks in it, which helps weigh it down towards the middle. The tray has an X in the middle that is slightly lower than the edges, which supports the plant and lets the water drain to the middle, where I have drilled a few drain holes. I modified the water tray to have a drain that goes down into a tub.

All this will be covered in the video I will eventually film...

I just hang a feeder bowl about half way in the down in the middle of the cage. I'm thinking about adding another toward the bottom. This along with a large water dish/pond and the waterfall (that recycles the mist) a decent portion is collected before it hits the ground.

Okay, Supergirl's set up is just amazing....

But how do you stop the water from puddling in areas without holes?

A) try sanding the plastic to "rough it up"...that should help the water flow to the holes B) put something heavy (rock, plant, paperweight) near the hole you want the water to go to.

2 of my cages have screen/mesh floors, the other one is a reptibreeze with plastic bottom that slides out.. I drilled holes (in the shape of a sun almost) concentrating on the center but also a few of them extending out the sides. The holes are small enough that crickets and feeders can't escape, but large enough that the water drains through easily. We keep our cages on top of metal shelving units, and place large plastic storage type bins underneath to catch the water. Have had them this way for about year or so and haven't had any problems. Here's a few pics of the setup....

i recently bought a mistking and read that i will definitely need a drainage system and this is it. its affordable, easy to get rid of the water, and the rack is collapsable. i actually have the same metal rack at my house so that wont be an issue. and the fact that its not a big heavy cabinet makes it better because im in a dorm room and will be jumping from place to place for a little bit until i get further along in school. thanks again!
