Drinking tips

Looking for some tips to get my veiled to drink more. He is a year old, he is drinking a little but his unrate looks slightly dehydrated. I have a misting system runs 2-3 minutes 5 times a day. Also have a dripper set up opposite side of his heat lamp. Any tips?

Anybody have tips on setting up their dropper in a good location? Mine is opposite side of the heat lamp dripping onto a pothos leaf. Is it better on the hot side of the cage?

That's what I figured too but he never seams interested and don't think he's drinking from it

And I've tried fruit before but never worked with him. Plus with the misting on a timer and fruit bowl just fills with water I've stuck pieces on branches but he's never touched them

You can lead a horse to water, but you can not make it drink.

If you are worried about your chams hydration try the shower method for 10-15 minutes once or twice per week. Horn worms are also good for helping rehydrate chameleons.

Make sure the dripper is dripping onto leaves of some kind. He may lap up droplets off of these, maybe even while climbing around the cage. My dripper drips onto a long “vine” of leaves, so various leaves at various heights get water droplets - gives him options while he’s exploring if he gets thirsty.

keeping the humidity up is just about as important as actually drinking. Mine seldom drink but the humidity stays steady and up thanks to live plants.

Humidity is good dripper lands on leaves. He is not unhealthy dehydrated I would just like to see his urate a bit more white. I'll try hormworms
