Dripper set up

I am almost done setting up my first enclosure and I wanted to give the dripper a trial run. I filled it up and opened the valve and I noticed that it is pooling on top of the screen. So my question is should I run it through the screen or just fine tune the dripper without making a hole in the screen top? The Little dripper is setting on top of the light so it is elevated about 2 inches. Thanks for the help.

I wouldnt make a hole in the screen. You should be able to get it to go through, just raise it up a bit more. ;)

You'll either have to run it through the cage or try to get it higher so the drops will go through.

I take my lid off and set it on top of the lid. It gives it just enought heighth and it will drip right right you want it to! I had the problem with pooling too. You can also reach under the screen where it is pooling and tap your finger and it will start a drip, but if you are not around it may start pooling again.

Sometimes they will do that pooling thing. Just give it a tap and it should go through the screen. Another thing you can do is make the water actually drip on to the screen so that it has some force to break the surface tension.
