is a dripper neccassary if i have a mistin system thats on every 1hour for 6 seconds all day???
also here is a photo of my beautiful male veiled cham, first photo 5th may 2016, second august 11th 2016
sorry i meant to say 60 seconds i do it for, forgot the zero hahaNot at all. I am not a fan of drippers myself. But, I would suggest you changing your misting times from 6 seconds every hour to twice a day for a couple of minutes. It can take a minute to trigger the drinking reflex of chameleons.
I run my fogger 5 times a day for 4 minutes each time. She is now in a larger 24x24x48" enclosure so I upped it a little. I still have a dropper which I find a pain, but if everyone agrees it's not needed I am more than willing to quit. So come on everyone...what about foggers. Note: mine is attached to a PVC pipe with holes drilled every couple of inches and it runs across the top of the cage.
I think there's no one right answer. Some of my chameleons drink enough just from three misting sessions a day, and some don't (judging from the colors of their urates), for those which don't, i supplemented with hand sprays and drippers
