Drippers - ACKKKKK

now that is an excellent idea! the adjustment would be much more reliable. I think there is one by me.

just buy an adjustable air valve from petstore or fishstore, a lot easier to tune. and while your at it, get a couple "t"'s to branch off to different spots or different cages. and to break surface tension just tap the point you want it to drip with your finger, once the tension is broken it will flow normally.

They are all hard to tune. Has nothing to do with LLLReptile or the medium size.

No in this case it does have to do w that particular one. Valves are not all made the same, and this one sticks and doesn't allow much control for low flow. There is no label on the bottle so I had to quote the supplier.

This is the what I ended up doing, however I didn't have much luck w "t" connectors. It always seemed to want to go to one branch or the other unless it was laid absolutely flat. I would go with making multiple holes in the same water container for different lines.

while it sounds like everyone is having a problem with them I really haven't had any kind of problem with the little dripper. I can tune it to let droplets go at about 1 every other second or 1 per second.

I have the tubes it came with and i dont put the tubes in the cage, but if it looks like it is building up on the top of the screen i just push down with my finger where i want it to drip and it starts dripping there. It is a matter of the slightest bump to get it to the correct rate, but i bet with a little bit of messing with it you should be able to get it to work.

Wow. I am truly suprised that people are having so many issues with drippers. Mine (homemade) are the definition of easy to use and I wouldnt be without them.

when I used to have a dripper, I used a piece of cotton twine (or food grade string) going through the tube to allow the water to wick out of the tube. You need to change the string maybe every week or so, but it allowed for a more fine tuning of my drip rate.

Hope that helps
