Drowning Dubia

Sooo I had my dubia colony outside today and forgot to bring it back inside. We got a huge storm and I just brought them in. There was like 2-3 inches of standing water inside their tote. I drained it all but I am wondering if they will be ok with the soggy egg crates until I can get more.. Or does anyone have any suggestions on something I can use to replace it until I do..I wasn't sure if mold would kill the remaining ones off...since crickets can die with mold.

You can throw in the inside of paper towel rolls or toilet paper rolls. I use them all the time.

Thank you! I'll skim my neighbors! I save them for my crickets it I hits put all of them inside their tote when I cleaned it...

You could also just use crumpled up paper towels until you get more crates. Anything with a course texture will work.

I use drink cup holders from 7-11, gas stations, burger king, etc... i let them sit in my closet for a couple months first, just to be sure. And i only use them, when out of crates (never am), or just to fill in a crack or needed spot. However, in a pinch, they will work just fine.
