dry gutload froim petco

does anyone think that fluker's dry gutload is good for cricket/dubias
just want reviews because i just bought it from petco

I'm in uk so can't get product but I don't think fluckers anything is very good by what I have read on here. Sorry. You might perhaps make your own by using recommendations in Sandra's blogs. Once you make a batch it will last for ages.:)

fluker is not good for gutload.

use some fresh veggies for gutload crickets.
Romaine lettuce
Mustard Greens
Collard Greens
Kale
Carrots
Yams
Yellow Squash
Zucchini
Orange slices
Apple and potato peelings
Banana skins
broccoli
alfalfa
baby rice cereal
flake fish food

I've used flukers for months. It works well, the crickets will go right for it. The dry cricket diet isn't bad just don't get the cubes.

Its not very good as a gutload. Its fine to feed the crickets, but not ad a gutload. Cricket crack, dinofuel, and bug burger (or a mix of them/your own) are better choices. Use fresh fruits and veggies too!

Crickets also eat cardboard, so the fact that they like something does not mean that is to the benefit of your chameleons. While convenient, most commercially available gutloads (Fluker Farms Cricket Food, Nature Zone Cricket Total Bites, etc) are low in calcium, imbalanced and/or insufficient for good nutrition. The Flukers products are all poor in nutrition and should not be used as a primary component of gutloading. Hi guys

What are guys basing your statements that Flukers gut loading foods are not good on? Just curious because i've kept Chams for almost 14 years now and one of the prime gut loads i used was 'Flukers High-Calicium cricket grain' diet, coupled with variety of veggies. I agree the orange cubes are horrible along with the gel, but i've never had a problem using the cricket grain. I'm not defending Flukers i'm just curious if others have had bad experiences with it, as i'm always looking for better ways to gut load my feeders. Thanks

I would take it back & get Repashy's "Bug Burger". (I bought it at Petco, so I assume they all sell the same product.) I use that along with fresh orange slices, shredded carrots, diced apples and collard greens.

Read ferretinmyshoes comment just above your post. That stuff is marginal AT BEST. The best thing you are doing is adding veggies and that's probably what has been working for you. Most people don't/won't do the extra. It's like only feeding your dog or cat dry kibble out of a bag. It might keep them alive but it doesn't mean it's healthy for them. You can't be sure it is fresh or not full of additives that can hurt your pet eventually. Supplementing is essential.
