I have been breeding Dubia, Turkistan & Lobster roaches very successfully for the past couple of years for my Beardies and Rankins, and now my Yemen
.
As said above, heat is so important. I have my pulse stats (on large heat strips) all set at around 90f.
I feed every other day, mainly the greens I feed my reptiles.
I also backed off using high protein foods due to the newly found link between high protein Dubia diets and gout in may reptiles (As Dubia roaches convert excess protein into uric acid, and they do not excrete uric acid via urates or urine. Excess uric acid can cause gout).
So that cuts out a lot of these dog/cat foods. But saying that, a simple solution could be NOT feeding every day
Anyways, I have found mine go crazy for a slice or 2 of orange. This is also like a roach aphrodisiac lol.
Decent ventilation is essential.
Also, do not disturb. Leave them to it. Only interacting on cleaning and feeding.
