Dubais + Pygmy?

Hey, I was wondering if I could feed the Dubais to a pygmy chameleon. I haven't bought either yet so i cant judge the size so lets assume its a newborn pygmy we are feeding. Thanks.

First off welcome to our world. I love gentleman as your name -- there are so few of those left in the world. There isn't a dubia small enough for a newborn pygmy. You are looking at ff.'s. New born pgymys are smaller than you can believe. jmo Where are you located are you here in the US or somewhere else? I like knowing where all the members come from, guess I am just nosey - sorry.:):)

I think small dubias will still be too big for an adult pygmy let alone a baby pygmy. I feed my adult pigs 1/4" crickets and they seem to have no problem eating them but a small dubia is quite wide for the small pygmy mouth.

Ah, alright. Thank you all for the advice. I think I may get another Jackson cham as I've had one before. Do you think they can eat dubias?

Newborn Dubias are not too big for adults. My adults (and subadults close to adult size) eat them just fine with no problems.

General rule of thumb, "do not feed anything bigger than the widths of their eyes".

Is there a specific reason you are focused on dubias?

Thanks for all the info, and I do know the rule of thumb, I just don't know the size of the roaches. I'm asking because I just ordered a shipment of dubias and am looking into a getting another cham. It does however need to fit into a 36x20x20 cage at adult size though, or else I would just get a panther. Any suggestions?

I feed turks so I really couldn't tell you about the dubias size. Pssh and others could give you a better idea of that insect size.

I do house my jackson's in a 36x24x24 quite well. I don't think I would go any bigger than that size for that footprint.
