Dubia please help!

Do you guys only feed the babies and juvies? cause the big ones are sorta big.

Do I need to be keeping an eye on their humidity too?

Humidity should be fairly high . 60-70%... and temps in the mid 80's to 90s

I feed off from fresh birth nymphs to 1" nymphs and some of the Adult males when their #s start to grow.

Don't really wanna feed off the females when trying to establish a colony. They are the ones giving birth to raise the numbers.

That doesn't look like a dubia to me. Maybe a beetle of some kind???

I'm pretty sure that is a Lobster Roach nymph.. kill it or feed it off!! They do climb smooth surfaces.

That isn't a roach. If you have some pliers or snake tongs grab it and send it swirling down the toilet.

B.Dubia nymphs should not be glossy like the roach pictured. But Lobster Roaches ,Nauphoeta cinerea. They have a dark, glossy nymphs!!

Humm, thats weird!! Should be the other way around (do you have any Chams that can eat Adult male Dubias, i would feed off about 10 of them).. What order did you buy? was it a "starter colony"?

And no they don't fly. The males will flutter if you drop them, but thats it.

I got 2 25 count mix cups.

i think it was mentioned earlier but i do keep mine in a large rubbermaid with locking handles and no holes, i just open it now and then and they seem fine.
i figure they are roaches they survive anything.
i just pick out the ones i want to feed off about 24 hrs before feeding time and plave them in a seperate container, they get one last good meal
