dubia roaches for 1 year old veiled?

i have a cricket colony going for my leopard geckos and i was planning on using them for my new veiled which is arriving in a week. however i want a more varied diet for my cham and have heard alot about how easy it is to breed dubia roaches.

are dubia roaches ok for chams as replacement for crickets or to suppliment crickets and other things like meal/super/waxworms etc.

in other words is it worth me doing it?

i'll of course still be dusting with calcium and multi vits etc.

thanks

I personally think that Dubias are great. In my experience, if you keep them warm and well fed, they will breed easily. I'd go for the Dubia, and still feed him crickets. My chameleons main diet is Dubia, and then they get crickets, Lateralis roaches, Madagascar Hissers, and Superworms. I gutload them with fruits and veggies, and I dust them with Repashy. Good luck! :)

i switched from crickets to dubias ! they are grate, easy to breed , easy to keep, easy to feed, easy to clean and i grate source of food !
i will feed crickets too when they will reach adult size

Dubia works fine, but don't use them as a staple. Be sure to feed your chams a diversity of feeders. Use silkworms, hornworms, superworms, crickets, and dubia. Avoid lateralis that a member mentioned. They WILL infest your home, no matter what others try to say. A cold winter will not do that species in. The best way to gutload dubia is fresh fruit and veggies with dinofuel. Here is a link.

Dust with dinofuel and repashy calcium plus. There is a lot of reviews on dinofuel and the stuff is unreal.

DUDE! Give a brotha some credit, will ya? :D Btw, the dubs obviously like this stuff...

ordered a tub of 15 adults to start my colony off. how long does it take before i get babies roughly?

keep them warm (90+ degrees), plenty of water and feed them some oranges every now and then. Within a month you'll prolly have some little babies running around. Trust me, you'll wake up one day and say to yourself, "Holy crap! Where'd all these roaches come from??" :D
