Dubias Are Producing 2 Kinds Of Roaches??

Hey everyone,
I started a Dubia colony about 4-5 months back. My Dubias have been producing a lot of babies but they also seem to be producing a second type of roach. Does anyone know what these roaches are called? Also, a way to get rid of them would be nice? Any help will be much appreciated.

Are you sure it's not just males and females? Can you post a picture of each type?

Could be you got eggs from another species by accident, some people breed a few species some breed dozens, all it takes is one female or one eggsack to create a nightmare especially if you are using open containers and have a climbing/flying species on your hands. Are dubia males and female so different that one would so easily beleive they may be 2 diff species? Not a roach guy...

They look quite different. Males are longer, thinner and have wings. Females have more rounded abdomen and no wings.

Here's what the roaches look like. I also attached a picture of a Dubia roach so you can compare the difference. Does anyone know what these roaches are called? Also, a trick to get rid of them would be very helpful? Thanks,

The bottom is definitely a dubia. The others almost look like oriental roaches... We had some oriental roaches set up in the flower bed outside our townhouse last year. Some would come in periodically. Luckily they never established a colony in the house, but we did have a pest company do some treatments.

Could they have come in off a plant and just found a nice home in your dubia bin?

Just feed them buggers off to your chameleons the moment you see/can identify them. Looks like a tasty snack to me!

I'm not sure of the exact species, but there is a decent chance they'll be able to climb glass or plastic, so if you want to keep them where they are I'd recommend a ring of Vaseline around the inside of the enclosure rim if you aren't using one already!

They kind of look like a turkistan roach... which I would feel bad for you if they were. But it's not quite the right color and I'm not sure how old that roach is. If it is a turkistan they can be quite a nuisance if you aren't trying to purposefully raise them.
