Dubias not exciting...

Success!!! I just checked on their food bowls. The almost 3 month old ate all of his!!! And he's the picky one! The almost 5 month old has not touched his yet : ( hopefully he will try his ; )

Feed off your males, if you have a colony you want a ratio of 3:1 females:males.

Males are a 'waste' of food in colonies (and in nature period) and will only out compete the females.

Anyone know anything about inbreeding in insects?

Yep! Got that covered ; ) thx!!! So excited!!! Our almost 5 month old finished all his dubias!!! Yay!!! We are two for two!!!!! Thank goodness!!!

You can also put a cricket or superworm in the cup they will often bug the dubia and keep it moving :)

That's an inspired idea!!
Noogie utterly refuses to eat silkies or any other kind of worm, I guess because they just are not active enough.
Maybe I can mix them up in his cup with the cricks and dubia's which he does like to eat.

I really want him to start eating silkies and hornies because of their water content, and he has an ongonig hydration problem and trying
to get him to drink and get fluids in him is a challenge!!

I even got some 1cc insulin sryinges to inject water into the roaches and cricks!!
