Dubias to florida

Does anyone know a source that will send dubias to florida? I really want to get started on them however im haveing difficulty finding a site that will send them over.

I think there illegal in florida because of your sub-tropical climate

I am pretty sure you wont be able to find anyone who can send dubias to florida if im not mistaken it is ilegal. id look to get something else

Yeah, they're illegal, but there are members on here who know places that don't care where they get sent to. Try PMing some Florida members, and do a search, there are a few threads just like this one.

I had dubias when I moved here 7 years ago until I found out that I could get in trouble for having them. I possess a class III permit so I can be inspected by the wildlife dept. at any time so it wasn't worth it for me to try and keep them. They do make great feeders though and reproduce easily (why they are illegal here). There are people here who keep them but they won't admit it easily in most cases. Be careful if you do get some, they are invasive.

Ive read that dubias are illegal in FL but ive had them sent to me from a few sources over the past few years with no problems. Ive even seen them at local reptile shows for sale.

Unless you can find someone who ships to Florida, your best bet is finding a fellow floridian who already has some and would be willing to sell you enough to start a colony.

I have never had any problems getting dubias shipped to me in FL and have ordered from many different places. Try the classifieds here on the forums and also the site sponsors. I have bought from both.
