duct tape?

I was wondering if duct tape is okay in a chameleons enclosure, it's just a small bit wrapped around two branches to hold them in place, I'm not sure if she'll try to eat it or not.

I used tape originally, and was told it was not good, as they could eventually get their tongues stuck to it. It may be a long shot, but I wasn't willing to risk it for my babe. No chances, use twisty ties, that's worked best for me

Even if the sticky side isn't showing?

If sticky side isn't showing, I've rolled tape to put between my screen enclosure and secure vines. Chams will lick what they see as food or water tho, I've had my female Cham "suck up" the little dripper spout and had to pull it from her mouth....

I would use a drill a fine jewelry wire. Much sturdier and safer. Drill a hole in the part of the branch you want attached and place the wire through it, thenow slip the wire through the screening and twist so that the cut ends are on the outside of the enclosure, easy and simple to remove

That sounds just like using twisty ties, which could be less work if you have them. I've had to make a bigger hole with one side of my scissors, then the twisty ties go right in. You can twist them and secure to the side of whatever branch you have. Wrap another twistie to the other side, then secure to it to the other side of the enclosure.

I guess it doesn't matter what device you use to secure objects, as long as your Cham knows where to go for water and food, the basics. As long as it's basic needs are met, you can go from there.....

These creatures are precious, they're not like you're snake or bearded dragon. Just be aware, and he'll do fine

I also use garden wire.
I drill a hole in the pieces of wood and tie them together like that. I sometimes cover that up with the sisal rope for the looks.

my panther once got a piece of electrical tape stuck to his foot when he was walking around my room. I had to held him in a way that wasnt very comfortable for him and gently peel it off. for branches i use zip ties

I like to use zip ties as well. They are strong and do not fail. Tape over time will start to peel away and loose its stickyness.

And worse, there are threads with duct tape. I found two strands of hair coming out the vent of one of my newly imported graciliors that isn't doing as well as I would like. Under a microscope, it looks like one of my own hairs! Fortunately he has passed it and I just hope there is no damage to the gut. Maybe that was part of his problem.....

Do you have any ideas on how your hair got in there?
