Dull colors on veiled??

It seems like he never wants to get brightly colored?
When he sleeps you start to see the yellow stripes and blue dots but during the day he seems quite dull..
He's around 7-8 months.
Is this just a phase?

hes just not developed enough yet.

The colors will stay when hes awake as he gets older.



You can also try a brighter basking bulb, a newer uvb bulb (Whcih should be replaced every 6-9 months anyway) and good gutloading.

I mean could my guy be a late bloomer too?
Cuz even night colors still seem dull compared to other younger veileds?
And also I recently got new uvb heat bulbs.

Hes a bit pale, but nothing serious.

he could be a late bloomer.

you can also try dino fuel, super pig, and other goood gutloads to see if it helps him any.
