When you dust crickets with calcium or vitamins do you give them all to one cham? If one cham eats 5 crickets do you give him or her all of them like that or just one like that and the rest plain? I don't want to over do it. I would think one would be enough everyday ( cal ) or once a week ( vit ).

I lightly dust all the crix I feed off.

Mon-Fri dusted with calcium
Sat- nothing
Sun- alternate calcium plus d3 and a multivitamin

I dust a couple of feeders and feed those first so I know he gets his supplements, then throw in some undusted. ;)

I use a cricket keeper with the black tubes that they hide in. I take a pinch of the cal dust and sprinkle the dust in the tube and just give it a shake. I then shake the tube into the cage. I give them about four crickets each for both my chameleons.

I lightly dust all crickets, and most superworms. For the most part I do not bother to dust anything else (silkies, sticks, isopods, butters...). I also make sure my gutloads have relatively high calcium content fruit and veg.

Sandra, what do you usually use as a gutload mix? Is it on your blog?

For wet, usually dandelion, carrot, romaine, squash, yam, fruit, mustard greens - depends on the season, as I grow much of what I use. The dry mix is a bit different every time: often 1 or 2 types of dried seaweed, bee pollen, seeds and nuts, alfalfa...
