dusting with brewer's yeast?

I sometimes - maybe a couple of times a month - dust with brewer's yeast. Perhaps it is impossible to know for sure, but my chameleons seem to like it. Anyone else out there with observations on dusting feeders with brew yeast? Bee pollen? spirulina? some other substance?

I've dusted on rare occassion with spirulina. But more is not always better, so using brewers yeast and spirulina and bee pollen as gutload is better IMHO, than as dusting items

Yes, I think that is sound logic.

I am always trying to experiment and explore and observe/compare outcomes. That's the science teacher in me.....

I have sometimes fed them crickets right after I have sprinkled brewer's yeast and spirulina into the cricket bins, and they are sometimes lightly dusted. I've often wondered if it was benificial. Good question.

I occasionally dust flies with bee pollen. I like the brewer's yeast idea, especially if extra thiamine was needed in the diet. I've heard of this being used on bearded dragons with vitamin B deficiencies. I've often thought of giving crickets some Vegemite to increase their vitamin B before feeding but was concerned it'd be too salty.
