Surely you have sphagnum peat moss in the UK?

Ya couldn't you use that instead?

Go to the Pygmeleons section-I guess you would just line the bottom of the tank with the moss (I would mix with a bit of play sand), and then just follow the other directions...

Ok thanks. What are the measurements of 10 gallons in inches? I also heard pygmys only live for a few months, is this true? Also, has anybody breeded any pygmys as I am interested in doing so.

Some people have been able to keep them for a year or two I think. But they probably live longer if they are CB

Oh ok I see. So if i breed to adults how long will the babys live for?

Maybe 2 years. I guess I've never talked to anyone who has had CB.

Make sure not to keep the Peat Moss too mosit becuase being partly decayed, it could start to decay more.

Ok will do. Are females always gravid then?

No, after a while they will have used all the sperm or it will have died. Umm then they will breed in like three months. Then they carry eggs for a month, the process keeps going.

Are pygmys ground dwellers or semi-arboreal?

 

[Chase]

Well, they mostly live on the ground but do like to climb plants that live on the Ground floor, Pothos work great because they don't get too bushy and the grow slow. Thats all I have (plantwise) because they are a vine and can take up the whole cage.

Ok thanks. Would wood chips be fine to put on the floor as well to create a more natural effect?
