Congrats on your new Cham!
Nosy Boraha are gorgeous. Love the white background with the red.
Speaking of snow... I live in Maine and it has hardly snowed at all. We barely have any on the ground. Usually there would be some major storms by January and there should be at least a foot or more of fresh snow by now.
But, on the other hand the East Coast from Georgia to Massechusetts is getting pummeled by one of the biggest blizzards ever! And we aren't expecting to get any. The weather has been sooo strange lately. The way the weather patterns are changing lately Maine is going to become the new Florida Lol!

That's exactly what the grocery stores looked like hear yesterday. It's funny how everyone goes and buys up the stores for a 2/3 day event. I was at homedepot on Thursday and it was a madhouse. It was like toys r us looks like the day before Christmas.

I've never understood why people panic-shop for storms. Why are they frantically searching for the most basic winter supplies like shovels, boots, ice scrapers, coats, gloves. Don't they already own these things living where they do?? Its not as if the east coast never has snow and they've been screaming about this one for days ahead of time. Fer crying out loud, its January!! When I lived in NJ one year we had one of these big storms and the entire state just shut down. I cleared the driveway, skied over to my office to check on the building's power, and thoroughly enjoyed the peace and quiet on the roads.

When they forecast that much snow for us the usual reaction is to bring in a bit more stove wood and rent more than one movie. A decent snow year for us is about 300".

Haha Finally they have come to get this snow off our roads! They're not even using plows, they're using backhoes to get the 3 feet of snow off the road...there goes my network of tunnels. ;(

Edit- My gosh, they're stuck now!

You know what they say about the right tool for the right job. I know, I know, there aren't enough plows to go around at the moment, but it really makes you wonder. Looks so funny with the light snow load on those roofs!
