Eating insects outside?

Hi all,

I take Percy outside 1-2 per week to soak up the sun. Today was the first time there was a spider in the vicinity and he shot and missed. Wondering what people's thoughts were on eating wild insects? I live in San Fransisco, but other than the bees I don't think there is anything in my backyard that would be harmful.

I sit nearby and keep a close eye out for birds and other larger animals.

Thoughts?

They can eat bees and wasps, I would guess you don't have too much too worry about. I mean obviously like a giant tarantula or something but besides that.

My Parson's lives outside spring to fall and regularly eats anything that comes into his enclosure. Seems to be doing well

Wild insects are the main diet items for my lizards during the summer.
