Eating plants

I know it’s pretty normal for veiled chams to eat plants but anyone have their panthers eating plants?

I noticed my Cham was a bit dehydrated as I kept noticing him drinking from the leaves every time it got misted so I setup a drip cup. I set it up with two leaves from a money tree for it to drip down and he was drinking from it. I came back like 45 min later and a huge bite was taken out of the leaf.

I noticed bite marks on other leaves prior to this but thought it was grasshoppers eating them. (Which they have as well bc I’ve seen them so both have been eating the plants)

Anything to worry about?

Well, according to the archive search, panthers have at times eaten dead leaves & are known to chew and lick branches. Hopefully all of your plants are on the safe list. I’m wondering why your guy would be doing this though. All I can think of is: needing the fiber, intestinal parasites or dietary deficiency. So my questions are: how have his poops been? How often is he going? Is it really hard pellets? What color is the urate? Has he been checked for parasites recently? What supplements are you using and what is the schedule? What are you feeding him and what are you feeding the feeders?

It’s the live leaves he’s eating and licking branches/leaves

Im using Arcadia earth pro A on about every feeding.

Poops I haven’t really noticed bc I have a bioactive enclosure and it’s loaded with branches and leaves.

I haven’t had him tested for parasites.

I think it’s bc he’s dehydrated maybe. Idk if you saw previous post he was a weird dull color and I noticed he ran to the leaves to drink.

Vet gave him ointment for possibly bacterial spot on skin but he’s still dull although Spot on skin cleared up

I setup a drip cup and was drinking tons of water. But he’s now stopped doing that after he got a good fill of water from the drip cup.

i user to think it was grasshoppers eating leaves but soon realized its him not the grasshoppers. It’s a money tree and a pothos so not poisonous.
