Thank you! Thankfully, it hasn’t been bad.So sorry to hear you've got covid. Hope it's not too bad. Hope you're better soon.
No comments about your chameleon...it's been covered already...but I hope the edema will be gone quickly.
Didn't she also have her UVB and supplementation incorrect as well though?
I have no clue on this one... Edema is a fluid retention/ build up. But to my knowledge once you find the cause and correct it the fluid just gets absorbed back into the body. It would make sense that the urate/fecal excretion would be linked since that is expelling the water and excess supplements. But I am just thinking not knowing for sure.I have a question in regards to the edema.
Paddy (and the rest of the group) they are only pooping once a week to every two weeks due to the seasonal change. Could this prolong the edema due to waste retention? Thanks in advance!!
He has been on a reduced feeding of 3 small feeders 3 days a week for quite a while now. So he has only ever gone maybe once every 7 days. Thanks! I’m thinking the same as well since there has been no change and he’s still eating but not pooping as much. I have him down to 1 lg discoid every 2 days.
Edit: was Beman pretty regular during his edema episode?
This is awesome!! And I hope you are feeling better too! I learn so much from the forum, so thank you for sharing this and for sharing the resolved update.Just want to post an update on Paddy and for future members having the same issue. This info may help guide you in the right direction for treatment and husbandry issues. Many thanks to Becca ( @Beman ) for helping me out with the supplements I really appreciate ya! Looks like it may have been the culprit and my vet concurs.
These pics were taken a month from initial onset.

I completely stopped the Arcadia products when it started.
Not much of a change. He wasn’t pooping as much because of the colder weather so I figured if something had built up it would take a while to leave his system. I also took into consideration they have slower metabolisms lol!
These pictures were taken Feb 9th. It was almost over night that it changed. It was warmer during the days prior and he was pooping more often. Still there but better. View attachment 293198View attachment 293199

His skin is a little saggy but when I touch it I can’t feel fluid like I did before.
Also, to note my oldest Basil may have been developing the same issue.
This was Jan 16th

Thank you!Im so glad and happy that you and your boys are doing better!
Absolutely!Thank you!
looks so much better.Just want to update my thread with Paddy’s progress. I currently have him on plain calcium with every feeding (every two days) and Reptivite no D3 once a month. I did notice when I was dusting twice a month some slight edema so now it’s only once a month on one feeder. He seems to be pretty sensitive so I am being very cautious. Here are some recent pics.
