Editable silk

I have noticed that if my silkworms remain in the feeder cup for any extended time that they produce a good amount of silk. I do feed larger worms that are about ready to cocoon. Well when Drake gets around to eating them he sometimes gets a good amount of silk strand along with the worm.
Is this something to be concerned about?

The silk worm is full of liquid silk already. It just hasnt been spun and dried.

I have never had a problem with some accidentals and getting a mouth full of silk as they start making little ladders etc.

I will say my turtle folk HATE the silk, it just gums up the whole tank and never dissolves.

Kinda figured that was the case but wanted to make sure it wouldn't cause any kind of impaction or ?
Looks kind of funny with strings hanging out of his mouth?
