Earlier this afternoon I found myself with a free hour which doesn't happen often, so I decided to create a sort of "ultimate" egg laying bin. It was fun, I'll be very curious if it increases the laying rate going forward.
Regardless, while I was mixing up the substrate, I decided to add some dirt from my old laying bin that was sitting in another part of the facility unused for the last 3-4 months.
So, I brought the large bin over and dumped it into the king-sized bin I was focusing on. Poof, a cluster of eggs that I had somehow missed, appeared. Obviously Veileds. Around 60 of them.
I had no idea which way was "up" since I just dumped the entire bin at once. So, I arranged them into an incubation bin the best I could--we'll see, perhaps they are doomed.
They were stuck together but separated fairly easily.
