I lost a veiled to egg-binding a few days ago. Be causious, especially with veileds as it is not uncommon for a veiled to be egg-bound. I will post pics of her cause i cut her open to remove the eggs.
I have found out she had not gone up to the branches by herself. My mom saw her just sitting in the egg laying bin and put her in the branches. She is drinking just fine but I needed to feed her myself. She isn't interested in the egg bin that much.
I can safely make the assumption that she is egg-bound. I seen it plenty in veiled cause they simply have batches that are extrememy big and put a great toll on the animal
Sometimes they will just scatter the eggs if to weak to lay. Keep her loaded with calcium so that her muscles have the strength to push out the eggs, if not a average dose of 0.03mg oxytocin can work. I say can work because it can sometimes kill the animal if administered wrongly
