So yesterday morning the first egg of my first clutch pipped! Its been 24-36 hours now and the little sucker still hasn't emerged. The eggs are in a dark closet. Do I leave a light on? Do I just wait? Do I go commando n go in there and get he/she out? What do I do? Im going crazy:eek::confused:

hahaha...I can totally relate.

My first egg hatched last Sunday, it took him a good 24 hours to emerge fully. I so badly wanted to cut him out but I read that was a bad idea lol Patience :) Now I am waiting on the other 24 eggs to hatch and NOTHING is happening and it's all I can think about.

Thanks Liz:) I saw your thread a little earlier... I just figure a day and a half is a long time for this process!

How is your little one doing? Is he/she eating and drinking yet?

A day and a half is a long time .... for us to wait! but the little brats come out when they want. Part of their job description is to make us worry. Do you feel any better knowing your babies have already read the cham guide to managing humans? I never get used to waiting for the little s**t's to make an entrance, but since I have no choice in the matter, I cope.

We will all celebrate, with you, when baby one makes an entrance.

Thanks for the pep talk! I'll be sure to post pictures as soon as the little one emerges:)

It seems like a life time lol

He is doing good so far, eating and drinking a lot. Hope he makes it (and kinda hope he won't be an only child....lol)

I will be here for hand holding. I was not sure my last quad baby would ever come out!! Rotten brat. Liz it took a while for mine to all hatch, 11 days to be exact. We will get there ladies. Then you will both have babies to sit and stare at like I do with mine. My youngest quad babies are about 1 1/2 months.

The little one has emerged!!! So tiny and cute, maybe an inch long:D Took nearly 48 hours from the time it pipped to crawl out...seemed like an eternity! Pictures in a few minutes:)

Here is a picture of my first hatchling ever! He just started walking around:D Pic was taken w/my phone. Better ones will be uploaded later today.
