Eggcrate Dye

I put oranges in the containers for the crickets to eat. Problem is the egg crate is falling apart and pieces of the blue substance is all over the container. Will this hurt the chams. The dye?

Eggcartons.com has the brown paper ones and they are very affordable. About 50 trays for $11. If in doubt when it comes to chemicals. avoid it. I acn't say what's in the dye but I can say that crickets and superworms will eat the cardboard. Roaches can be added to that list.

If I were you I would change your egg crates and cardboard elements frequently, like on a weekly basis. It gives bacteria and other micro organisms a perfect playground and breeding area. Your feeders can carry these harmful things to your chameleon's enclosure. Your best practice is to eliminate potential factors that may do harm or kill your chameleon.

ok thanks. I have another concern. I don't see my adult cham eating much. He looks very healthy tho. Has any tried the appitite increaser syringe?
